Therapist

As a therapist at Saving Grace Counseling, I’m able to provide counseling and/or therapy services to clients in need of mental health support. Throughout my 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with young children, teenagers, and adults from different demographics. I work and support clients who are dealing with depression, grief, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, trauma, anger, identity, self-esteem, and relationship issues.  I have provided individual and group therapy services utilizing a holistic approach, along with a variety of evidence-based practice interventions and biblical principles.

I am bilingual; I speak English and Spanish. I have a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee, and I’m currently a state-licensed LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker). I’m also a Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW). I worked for MNPS (Metro Nashville Public Schools), where I provided counseling services and support to students and their families. I also worked for a non-profit counseling organization where I worked with adults, and I provided individual and couples therapy.  I am EMDR certified and trained as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS), as well as Polyvagal Theory, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Art & Doodle Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Suicide & Self-harm Prevention, Mindfulness, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique- tapping) and Crisis Management. In addition, I’m a Board-Certified Christian Counselor (BCCC) by the American Association of Christian Counselors.

As a mental health practitioner and Christian counselor, my mission and purpose are to help my clients manage their situations and symptoms using traditional therapeutic techniques as a foundation, while incorporating a biblical perspective on healing. All this while leading them to develop a deeper and closer relationship with the true healer, our Lord Jesus Christ.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, but I have lived in Tennessee for the past 18 years. I am a mother and a wife, and my husband and I have been married for almost 23 years.
