Saving Grace specializes in Marriage Crisis Counseling, addressing challenges such as infidelity, conflict, pornography or sex addiction, betrayal trauma, and even divorce prevention.
We offer a uniquely effective approach to marriage crisis counseling through Couples Intensives—extended sessions led by the husband-and-wife team, Holly and Joe Barruso. As a counseling duo, they bring not only extensive professional experience but also a powerful testimony of God’s healing in their own marriage. After 12 years together, it seemed inevitable their marriage would end in divorce, having faced challenges such as unemployment, multiple relocations, financial strain, the loss of two parents and a pregnancy, infidelity, and abuse. Exhausted and hopeless, they retained attorneys and filed for divorce. Yet, God intervened—bringing not just change, but true transformation after years of resistance on both sides. Following two years of estrangement, they called off the divorce and reconciled. That was 15 years ago. Today, they enjoy the marriage they once dreamed of but didn’t know how to achieve. As counselors and devoted believers, Holly and Joe now share a mission: to help married couples experience and practice God’s love, so they too may witness its healing power transform and renew their marriage just as it did theirs.
When helping couples in crisis, Saving Grace Counseling embraces a biblical approach centered on the transforming power of God’s love. Our philosophy for restoring marriages is to guide couples—especially those in crisis—to both learn and practice the fundamentals of God’s love. Applied wholeheartedly, this love can heal past hurts, mend wounds, and restore unity, particularly for marriages in need of reconciliation.
At SGC, we firmly believe no marriage is beyond God’s power to restore, no matter the obstacles. Our commitment is rooted in the transformative and healing power of love.
