    Therapist

As a therapist at Saving Grace Counseling, I work collaboratively with my clients to address anxiety, OCD, depression, symptoms of trauma and other related conditions and disorders. I incorporate proven therapy approaches CBT and DBT as well as motivational interviewing, mindfulness and play therapy to help my clients feel increasingly hopeful and empowered in their personal growth.

My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education. I taught elementary and middle school for five years before obtaining my Master’s in Social Work. Currently, I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) who is receiving supervision to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been employed for many years in the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools as a Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW). During this time, I have provided individual and group therapy to many students from Pre-K through seniors in high school. I offer support to the families of these students, as well. In addition to this, I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

As a Christian counselor my practice is anchored in the belief that we are created by God in His image and that His love is life changing, giving us meaning purpose and hope.

I have been married to Danny Ayala for 35 years. We have three adult sons. I have lived and worked in middle Tennessee for over 35 years. I love spending time with my family, my sweet dog, Lucy and enjoying the outdoors!
